The PepTides is a nine-member band with funk, jazz and electronic influences. The Ottawa Citizen has described them as the B-52’s crossed with The Manhattan Transfer backed by Arcade Fire.HIFI Showband is the most in your face, high energy showband there is. Hits after hits from past and presents, they rock the house so hard it will shake. Highly choreographed as well as powerfully arranged, any crowd will live every song as an exceptional moment. Rocking the 70′s, the 80′s the 90′s and the new millennium’s biggest titles, Hi Fi Showband has no equal.
The group is noted for its extravagant live performances featuring thick vocal harmonies, theatrical choreography and colourful visuals. The PepTides’songs juxtapose upbeat music with lyrics that comment on universal human themes including love, hate, revenge, sex, religion, war and getting ready for dates. The PepTides garnered national attention in 2013 by producing a full-length album in collaboration with Stuart McLean of CBC Radio’s Vinyl Cafe. The band is an independent act that makes their name by delivering messages of peace, love and equality through their music. The latest release in 2014, The Crossing was their second album.
